Alcatel 5V is a large, 6.2-inch smartphone that features an impressive 19:9 'FullView' display with an 88% screen-to-body ratio. Inside, the MediaTek Helio P22 processor powers the new 5V, providing an octet of Arm Cortex-A53 processors up to 2GHz, with fast IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics and up to Cat 7/13 4G LTE with advanced IMS and other modern connectivity features. This is paired to 3GB of memory and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB via microSD card. Meanwhile, other connectivity includes 802.11bgn, Bluetooth, micro USB port, GNSS, NFC and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The compact, curved unibody metal design features 2.5D Dragontail glass and an eye-catching glossy finish. At the back it has two cameras: 12MP + 2MP, while the front side has an 8MP selfie shooter nestled into the notch. MediaTek's Imagiq camera suite backs a range of photographic technologies in the Alcatel 5V including EIS, real-time bokeh, HDR, PDAF and ZSL. Its camera software suite is extensive, including AI Scene detection, light tracing, night mode, panorama, real-time filters, refocus, Selfie Album, slow motion, Social Mode (Instant Collage, Photo Booth, Easy Share), snapshot in video recording, time-lapse and video story creation.

In addition, Alcatel's Face Key uses the front-facing camera to capture 106 facial points to unlock the 5V in just 0.5 seconds. This ensures swift and secure access to the device. A wide 30-degree detection radius allows for freedom of alignment, meaning its easy to use in any scenario.

Inside, the huge 4,000mAh battery is paired to the power-efficient 12nm P22 SoC and MediaTek CorePilot control for balancing power efficiency and sustainable performance.

The Alcatel 5V is available in both Spectrum Black and Spectrum Blue, and launches with the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
