Alcatel U5 HD launches in India

The Alcatel U5 HD is an entry-4G smartphone for India sporting the MT6737 64-bit, quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 operating at up to 1.25GHz. It's got a power-economical 4G LTE Cat-4 modem, and the necessary 4G VoLTE call upgrade.

As you might guess from the name the U5 HD sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display. This is powered by the Mali-T720 GPU in the MT6737, and that's all paired to 2GB of memory, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot that can expand storage by up to 128GB. This dual-SIM device comes with Android 7.0 out of the box and offers local connectivity Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro USB port.

At the back there's a 13MP camera, and the front has an 8MP for selfies, while inside its 2,200mAh battery is pretty large for the price. The Alcatel U5 HD will be exclusively sold on e-commerce site Flipkart, and it's available in both black and gold.
