IP68 ruggedized Blackview BV9000 smartphone announced

Heavily ruggedized smartphones are few, but Blackview has just announced its IP68-certified BV9000 Pro. It's the first ever with 18:9 display (5.7-inch) in ruggedized chassis, it's placed behind Corning Gorilla Glass and buried within the uniquely angular rubber and aluminum-magnesium metal frame that will resist shocks, drops, water and even low atmosphere for mountain climbers or if you need to make that call while skydiving.

The BV9000 Pro is powered by the fast and popular Helio P25 with its octa-core CPU operating up to 2.5GHz, that's paired by a super-sized 6GB of memory and up to 128GB of internal storage. It supports nippy 4G LTE Cat-6 performance with dual SIM dual standby.

On the rear metal plate there's a 13MP+5MP dual camera array with dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. At the front is an 8MP camera and internally a large 4,000mAh to keep things powered all day.
