Gionee S11S flagship powered by Helio P30
Gionee has launched its new S11S flagship smartphone featuring the premium MediaTek Helio P30. Inside is an octet of Cortex-A53 CPUs operating up to 2.5GHz, with Mali-G71 class GPU running at a blistering 950MHz and a 500MHz VPU accelerating camera functions. This chip is paired with a large 6GB of memory and 64GB storage.
The 6.01-inch Samsung AMOLED display with 18:9 FullHD+ (2160x1080) resolution almost covers the full fascia of the S11S. While at the back, it has a shimmering glass-metal design and inside a big 3,600mAh battery powers everything.
The S11S claims to have the best camera capability in Gionee's portfoilo, with two sets of dual-cameras that consist of a 16MP and 8MP rear-facing combo, while at the front a huge 20MP and 8MP pair shoot super-sized selfies. Its VPU-enhancement means depth of field (bokeh) effects and an enhanced HDR effects are real-time and exceptionally power efficient.
Meanwhile, its new sibling: the S11 (non-S), is very similarly spec'd, except it swaps the Helio P30 for Helio P23; pairs it with 4GB of memory and features slightly smaller 16MP+8MP front facing camera setup. While the Helio P23 still features an octa-core processor and fast Mali-G71-class GPU, it does not feature the same VPU-accelerator so some real-time enhancements of the S11S will be absent.
