MT8785 Cat-6 LTE Octa-core tablet chipset

The MT8785 is our premier tablet chipset, packing together an octa-core processor with the latest CAT-6 4G LTE. Inside are eight ARM Cortex-A53's clocked up to 2GHz, plus an ARM Mali-T860 GPU at 700MHz and up to 4GB of LPDDR3 at 933MHz. End result: the MT8785 can handle the most demanding Android tasks.

The 4G LTE part is a WorldMode modem for seamless connectivity across the globe. It provides 4G LTE Cat-6 has both FDD/TDD LTE and 2x20 carrier aggregation support, using a single RF for all markets. Adding to the connectivity is Wi-Fi 802.11abgn, GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Bluetooth.

MediaTek has spent nearly two decades developing and refining our suite of display-enhancing technologies, and as such our technologies can intelligently reduce the display’s energy needs while also preserving and enhancing the quality of visuals. Key among the features available on the MT8785 is SmartScreen, which optimises the viewing experience across any ambient lighting condition ensuring the display is always visible; Ultra Dimming, which lowers the brightness levels in the dark below those typically available in Android, increasing reading comfort; and BluLight Defender, which is more power efficient than third-party apps. This is because of the inherent knowledge of the MT8785 silicon behind it, it is better able to manage picture quality color from distortion.
