OnePlus Nord 2 5G powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is the first flagship smartphone to take advantage of the MediaTek Dimensity 5G Open Resource Architecture. The result of this collaboration is a custom chip called the Dimensity 1200-AI. As the name suggests, OnePlus’ “Never Settle” spirit pushed the limits of this 5G-integrated chip to bring its fans a host of AI-based features that further enhance the user experience across a variety of touchpoints.

The Dimensity 1200-AI brings improvements to photography, display, gaming and more into the Nord 2. The smartphone is the first with features like AI Resolution Boost and AI Color Boost, which aim to improve the display experience, and there’s also improved photo processing speed and image stabilization capabilities for the AI Photo Enhancement, AI Video Enhancement and Nightscape features.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G camera hardware includes a primary 50MP camera featuring Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, plus 8MP 120º ultra-wide, 2MP mono camera, and dual LED flash. At the front there’s a 32MP Sony IMX615 camera for detailed selfies nestled into the 6.43 inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with fast 90Hz refresh rate. Inside, a large 4,500mAh battery can use the 65W Warp Charge for super-quick recharging via USB-C.

In the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chip is an octa-core CPU with four premium Arm Cortex-A78 CPUs that boost up to 3GHz, a nine-core GPU, multi-core AI engine and wide array of hardware-based camera accelerators all built into the ultra-efficient 6nm chip. Connectivity includes ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6, plus a complete 5G NR modem with dual 5G SIM that can download at speeds up to 4.7Gbps. The 5G modem also features MediaTek 5G Ultrasave power-saving suite, support for both 5G SA and NSA network architectures and there’s even full 2G-5G support to keep you connected even if you stray beyond 5G areas. Bluetooth 5.2 can connect the latest peripherals and provides support for a wide-range of wireless headphone standards including aptX & aptX HD & LDAC & AAC.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G offers two attractive color options of Blue Haze and Grey Sierra.
