Oppo A79 with Helio P23 launches

On December 1st 2017, Oppo will launch its A79 smartphone, powered by the Helio P23. This octa-core Cortex-A53 processor operates up to 2.5GHz, and is paired with an ample 4GB memory, a large 64GB storage plus microSD expansion up to 128GB (or that doubles up as a second SIM slot). Inside a large 3,000mAh battery keeps things going for hours, and when returned to a socket the Oppo VOOC fast charging tech keeps it pumped up.

The A79 has a fullview 18:9 6-inch FullHD+ display with a fingerprint scanner on the back, and Face ID via front facing camera to allow the user to unlock the device. The A79 also includes a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can continue using your current wired earphones.

Both back and front cameras are a single 16MP, with fast f/1.8 aperture size and a large 1.0μm pixel size at the back, and f/2.0 aperture at the front.

The Oppo A79 is available in blue, back and rose gold, and it will launch with Android 7.1.1 plus ColorOS 3.2. One of the new features for ColorOS 3.2 is its a new gaming mode, which recognizes and prioritises the 10 most popular mobile games for maximum performance.
