Vivo Y81 - MediaTek Helio P22 powered all-screen smartphone with AI-enhanced camera

The Vivo Y81 is now available in India and sports the latest MediaTek Helio P22 inside. The P22 is a powerful octa-core smartphone SoC designed to give excellent photography, AI-enhanced apps, great connectivity potential, and it's built using the very latest 12nm FinFET production process.

The Y81 is a 6.2-inch phone that fits great in the hand; the large, all-screen 19:9 'FullView 2.0' HD+ display dominates your view with 15.5% more space than 16:9 displays, giving you ample space to read, watch or game. Inside there's a large 3,260mAh battery, 3GB of memory and 32GB of internal storage, plus an optional microSD card slot allowing up to 256GB capacity expansion. The microSD card slot is still available even if you use the dual 4G LTE SIM slots (DSDS), so users don't have to choose between extra storage space at the expense of a SIM slot.

The AI-enhanced Vivo 'Face Access' security system uses its 5MP front facing camera and AI-tech to securely unlock the smartphone. Selfies can be enhanced with AI thanks to Vivo’s intelligent ‘AI Face Beauty’ that actively learn your style and 'enhance your unique and natural beauty'.Despite only having a single camera users can still snap Portrait-styled pictures with depth of field (bokeh) effects, and the Live Photo function records short clips after you snap a picture so you can capture more than just a single moment.

At the back – among the high-gloss coating and comfortably curved rear-side that boldly styles the Y81 in a choice of black and gold - a 13MP camera can capture great pictures in any environment; the MediaTek Helio P22 incorporates EIS, RSC and advanced 3A, plus an ultra-fast CCU that delivers considerably faster focusing exposure adjustment to accurately counter sudden lighting changes.

Local connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the latest Bluetooth 5.0 specification, USB-C port and the always welcome 3.5mm headphone jack.
