• Dave LeClair, of PC Mag, stated the Dimensity 9200+, “takes everything great about MediaTek's 9200 flagship chip and overclocks it to create something more powerful for gaming and general smartphone usage.” He notes the most significant upgrade is the clock speeds, with one ultra-core Arm Cortex-X3 running at up to 3.35GHz, three Arm Cortex-A715 cores running up to 3.0GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A510 efficiency cores pushing 2.0GHz.
• Cosmin Vasile, of Phone Arena, reported that the new Dimensity 9200+ includes a powerful image signal processor for cameras, and improved power efficiency technologies.
• Nadeem Sarwar, of Digital Trends, reported that software-side optimizations deliver higher battery efficiency, while the HyperEngine 6.0 tech promises a 12% gain in performance for gaming.
• Hadlee Simons, of Android Authority, reported that the chip includes the potential for mmWave 5G support, a sixth-generation APU, support for up to 240Hz refresh rate at FHD+ resolutions, 8K recording capabilities, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7.
