World's fastest LPDDR5T mobile DRAM is ready for MediaTek's next-gen flagship mobile platform

MediaTek and SK hynix have collaborated to verify that SK hynix's new LPDDR5T (Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo) is ready for MediaTek’s next-generation flagship mobile platform. LPDDR5T is the latest development in mobile DRAM technology and is currently capable of achieving record-breaking speeds of 9.6 gigabits per second (Gbps) – 12.5% faster than the previous fastest LPDDR5X.

MediaTek has long collaborated with SK Hynix on the launch of new generations of mobile DRAM (LPDDR4X) that empower mobile users with ever faster memory bandwidth to fuel the needs of the latest games, apps, cameras, and entertainment.

The standardization approval process with the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) is now in its final stages, ahead of its debut in 2024. MediaTek’s next-generation flagship mobile platform will be the world’s first to use the new LPDDR5T memory standard.
