Xiaomi Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition and Mi TV ES launched, powered by MediaTek

Xiaomi Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is powered by the premium MediaTek MT9950.

This ultra-slim and attractive design features a premium 4K HDR display with full array dynamic backlighting, flagship-grade Dolby Vision IQ certification and an incredible 1200-nits brightness. The 120Hz VRR display is ideal for gaming. It’s matched by a 120Hz MEMC powered by the MT9950 chip, for all other entertainment.

Xiaomi taps the integrated AI processor in the MediaTek MT9950 to apply its own AI-enhanced picture quality algorithms, and AI Super Resolution (AI-SR) technology that accurately upscales non-4K content to native resolution in real-time.

The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition offers a pumped up 100W, 360-degree audio system, and borrowing from its smartphone expertise with a front-facing 48MP dual AI camera that allows users to make video calls in superb detail.

Connectivity includes ultra-fast dual-band WiFi 6, plus Bluetooth 5 for wireless peripherals.

Mi TV ES 2022 is powered by the advanced MediaTek MT9638.

Available in similar 55, 65 and 75-inch sizes, each also features a premium 4K HDR display, wide DCI-P3 color gamut, full array dynamic backlighting with up to 700-nits brightness. The TV supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content. The premium design is visually evident in the 97 percent screen-to-body ratio, while an integrated 25W speaker system provides supreme sound.

The MT9638 chip integrates MEMC, plus AI processor that powers the TV’s AI Super Resolution (AI-SR) technology.

Through MediaTek’s expertise in voice assistant devices, Xiaomi adds its own unique XiaoAI voice assistant for users to conveniently control the TV via voice commands.
