Xiaomi Redmi 6 powered by MediaTek Helio P22

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by the fast, 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, and features a tall HD+ 18:9, 5.45-inch display. The Redmi 6 can be bought in memory/storage combinations of 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB, and expanded with a microSD upgrade slot that's interchangable with the second 4G SIM slot. The Helio P22 provides 4G LTE performance up to Cat-7/13 (DL/UL) with dual 4G LTE, and enhancements for improved connection performance and reliability.

For photography and video capture, the Redmi 6 packs a 12+5 MP dual-camera array on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The Helio P22 provides exceptional photographic performance, with electronic image stabilization (EIS), rolling shutter compensation (RSC) and professional depth of field photography with live-previews thanks to its hardware depth engine. The MediaTek Helio P22's AI performance and Redmi 6's front-facing camera together power its AI-infused, secure face unlock system.

The Redmi 6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is available in a choice of Grey, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold; it is already available in the Chinese market, with India to follow soon.
