Xiaomi Redmi 6A powered by MediaTek Helio A22

Opting for the same form as the Redmi 6 powered by MediaTek Helio P22, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A is instead powered by the new MediaTek Helio A22. The A22 is a fast and highly-efficient, 2.0GHz quad-core SoC that's filled with lots of extra features usually not found in mainstream phones including a low-power sensor hub and support for light, edge-AI enhanced applications.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6A features a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display and a 2GB/16GB memory/storage combination in addition to a microSD upgrade slot that's interchangable with the second 4G SIM slot. 4G LTE speeds up to Cat-7/13 (DL/UL) with dual 4G SIM slots are provided. There's also MediaTek engineered enhancements for improved connection performance and reliability, such as TAS 2.0.

For photography and video capture, the Redmi 6A packs a large 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing selfie camera. These cameras are backed by the MediaTek Helio A22's incredible low-light performance, multi-frame noise reduction and a clear-image zoom technology. The A22 automatically minimizes aliasing, grain, and provides defect/distortion correction techniques and 3A includes anti-over exposure hardware with accurate point focusing.

The Redmi 6A runs Android 8.1 Oreo out the box and is available in color choices of Grey, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold.
