    Background

As digital signage systems evolve into cloud-connected, synchronized, and intelligence-driven solutions, hardware platforms are expected to deliver not only high-quality media playback but also long-term reliability and scalability.

A leading enterprise digital signage solution provider (hereafter referred to as the customer) required a new hardware foundation to support its next-generation signage service. The platform needed to handle high-resolution video output, integrate seamlessly with cloud-based content management systems, and operate reliably in continuous, unattended commercial environments.

Beyond conventional one-way digital broadcasting, there was also a growing need for interfaces that enable next-generation digital signage to interact with peripheral devices such as cameras and sensors. This capability allows for more effective and contextual content delivery tailored to viewers.

To meet these requirements, the customer collaborated with Silex Technology, leveraging its modular multimedia platform architecture combined with MediaTek system-on-chip (SoC) technology.

    Critical Needs
