A UMTS modem for IoT solutions that require cellular data connectivity from HSDPA to DC-HSPA+

An ultra-small footprint, 2-chip solution, MT6280 is a UMTS cellular modem designed for IoT applications that require fast cellular data connectivity. With data connectivity support up to DC-HSPA+ release 8 at 42/11 Mbps data throughput rates, it includes up to 4-band EDGE (Class 12, SAIC) or 5-band 3G network support.

The modem is powered by a combination of ultra-efficient ARM Cortex-R4 realtime processor with an ARM9 processor for the Linux AP. The MT6280 operates with high power efficiency and offers the temperature protection necessary for stand-alone, always active IoT devices. Connectivity includes USB 2.0, SDIO and SPI interfaces.

The MT6280 is ideally paired with MediaTek MT2523 in IoT devices.
