It’s our highest market valuation in company history
Here are some numbers worth sitting with: MediaTek's market value has grown more than 7x since 2022, now at over $230 billion1. It’s our highest market valuation in company history. Our stock has climbed nearly 210% in 2026 alone2. And NVIDIA just invested $3.5 billion in convertible bonds issued by MediaTek. We're not listed on a U.S. exchange, and our name rarely appears on the devices we power. But MediaTek silicon runs inside more than two billion devices every year, generated $19.1 billion in revenue in 2025, and sits inside products from the biggest technology brands in the world.
None of that happened by accident. It happened by design. And the growth strategy is intricately connected to our mission to enhance and enrich people’s lives.
The Strategy Behind MediaTek's Technology Leadership
For many years, MediaTek was seen as a value-focused semiconductor company. Good technology, strong execution, but not leading the industry forward. That perception doesn’t fit anymore and the shift to market leader wasn't luck. It was a deliberate corporate strategy. Invest early. Invest deep. Go after the segments where being second wasn't good enough.
That meant a determined increase in R&D spend including an early, aggressive bet on 5G that made MediaTek a global leader in mobile connectivity while others were still catching up. It also meant pushing into premium and flagship territory, building the kind of high-performance technology that complex, modern workloads demand. And it meant widening the aperture: taking MediaTek's core strengths in computing, power efficiency, and connectivity and applying them far beyond smartphones.
Leadership Across Consumer Devices, Proven at Scale
The results speak for themselves. MediaTek became the world's No. 1 smartphone SoC provider in Q3 2020 and we've held that position ever since. We lead in Android tablets. We lead in smart TVs. We lead in voice assistant devices, and several other categories. We power many of the brands you already use and love.
That's the thing about powering two billion devices a year. It's not one flagship win. It's leadership that shows up everywhere, every day, in the products people already trust.
The Next Chapter: MediaTek's Expansion Into AI Data Centers
Mobile leadership was never the finish line; it was the foundation. The next act, already underway, is in the data center, and it's one of the biggest growth opportunities in front of us.
This isn't a pivot we're making on a whim. MediaTek has been investing in data center technology for more than a decade with custom AI accelerators, high-speed connectivity, advanced SerDes, chiplets, advanced packaging, and optical technologies. We're bringing the same power-efficiency expertise that extends battery life in your phone to the energy economics of AI infrastructure, helping hyperscalers get more performance per watt and more performance per dollar.
MediaTek is now also working with NVIDIA’s NVLink Fusion ecosystem to enable hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and frontier model developers to develop custom AI infrastructure designed to integrate with NVIDIA rack-scale systems and AI factories. Customers can bring their XPU designs to MediaTek and we’ll help them tailor connectivity, memory, packaging, performance, and power characteristics to the specific needs of their workloads and infrastructure.
Our integrated data center strategy is paying off. MediaTek expects its AI data center ASIC business to generate more than $2 billion in revenue in 2026. We project the addressable market for custom AI ASIC solutions will reach $80 billion by 2027 and we now expect to capture 15%-20% of that opportunity, up from our earlier estimate of 10%-15%.
Expanding MediaTek's AI Computing Ecosystem
Data center is one part of a bigger move into AI computing. We're working with the world's biggest technology brands to bring MediaTek's performance and efficiency into the devices people rely on for agentic AI work and other demanding workloads, not just everyday tasks.
Our collaboration with NVIDIA is a clear example: MediaTek is co-designing NVIDIA RTX Spark PCs, and we co-designed the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip that powers NVIDIA DGX Spark, a personal AI supercomputer bringing serious AI development power to the desktop. We're also partnering with Google to help power the first wave of Googlebooks devices built for the AI era, bringing our deep experience in Android computing to a new category of laptops.
Growth Built Over Time
MediaTek’s impressive growth reflects a strategy that has evolved over time: building leadership in mobile, applying our technology at massive scale, and expanding into AI and data centers. That’s how we’ve built trust with the world’s biggest technology brands, and it’s how we’ve translated our momentum into a substantial increase in market value. Markets don’t reward a company for staying in its lane. They do it when a company executes on a plan.
MediaTek operates behind the scenes, as the silicon and technology platform powering the intelligent world, from the device in your pocket to the infrastructure the world's largest companies depend on. That was never an accident. It was always by design.
