Recently, MediaTek showcased two Wi-Fi 7 demos to key customers and industry collaborators, highlighting the technology’s ultra-fast speeds and low latency. MediaTek’s live demonstrations revealed how its Wi-Fi 7 technology can achieve the maximum speeds defined by IEEE 802.11be and leverage its multi-link operation (MLO) technology. Additionally, a private demo was presented during MWC 2022.

These advancements significantly boost speeds, enable more effective mesh networks, and incorporate cutting-edge interference mitigation techniques to ensure devices remain fast and reliably connected, even in densely packed network environments.
A key feature of Wi-Fi 7 that facilitates these benefits is MLO—a technology that aggregates multiple channels across different frequency bands simultaneously. This ensures seamless network traffic flow, even in the presence of interference or congestion.
