Step into the future with MediaTek at MWC 2025.

Step into the future at the MediaTek booth at MWC 2025. We're offering an insight to what's next - from smartphones to auto, from your space to outer space, MediaTek technologies touch everyone's lives.

    The Future of Mobile AI-Capture

    3 March-8

Powered by MediaTek's 8th Generation NPUs, generative AI-enhanced cameras and audio capture brings new life to photos and provides stunning sound for videos, all powered exclusively by the smartphone.

Lightning Snapshot Camera captures high-quality, clear photos of fast-moving objects thanks to generative AI assistance, while Super Gen-AI Telephoto uses Gen-AI to turn photos of distant captures from blocky to pin-sharp. Take it to a concert, and you can snap stunning photos from any seat in the house.

Speaking of concerts, MediaTek’s Spatial AI Audio Recording removes chatter and other distractions, so you hear only what matters in video captures.

    The Future of Driving

    3 March-20

MediaTek's next-generation Automotive Cockpit Platform harnesses the power of multi-modal Generative AI, prioritizing edge-AI to ensure data privacy, security, and continuous services, even in the absence of an internet connection.

At its core is MediaTek's cutting-edge System on Chip featuring a many-core Armv9-A CPU, which delivers outstanding performance. The chip is still power-efficiency focused thanks to the use the latest 3nm technology.

When paired with an NVIDIA GPU, this platform emerges as the most powerful automotive solution to date, enabling vehicles to provide passengers with a rich array of multimedia experiences and triple-A gaming, transforming your car into the ultimate mobile home theater.

Moreover, your in-vehicle data will be as secure as your passengers, thanks to MediaTek's advanced cybersecurity measures, which incorporate multi-layer encryption technologies and real-time threat detection.

For emergencies, MediaTek's next-gen 5G eCall technology transmits critical information, such as your location and real-time situation, more quickly and reliably, reducing response times.

    The Future of Cellular Connectivity

    3 March-18

MediaTek’s lastest M90 5G modem can use sub-6GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2) frequencies at the same time (NR-DC), which means devices could reach turbo-charged data speeds of up to 10Gbps.

At MWC 2025 we have partnered with Ericsson, who is providing the 5G network infrastructure in a live experiment to demonstrate real NR-DC speeds.

In the live demo a smartphone was equipped with an M90 modem, which connects to the Ericsson equipment using a combination of 3xCC Sub6 and 8xCC mmWave simultaneously. Altogether this uses an incredible 1.1GHz of total wireless bandwidth.

When compared to typical 5G smartphone that might use only 20 to 140MHz of spectrum in day to day activities, it shows the exceptional potential the M90 offers.

Ambient Computing - 5G CPE Gateway with Gen-AI

Powered by the MediaTek T830, our latest 5G CPE Gateway with Gen-AI includes the latest CPE technologies including 3TX super-fast uplink, and L4S scalable low latency, plus MediaTek NPU for edge-AI processing.

This design of intelligent 5G CPE works by decentralizing Gen-AI computing among personal devices, providing several advantages such as user data that remains within a local domain to strengthen data governance and enhance data privacy for homes/business, while also giving AI Agents greater capacity to work with broader context based on both personal and local context to make the output more useful.

    Inventing 6G's Foundation Technologies

    Gallery Photo 1SATELLITE
6G’s all about bringing connected intelligence everywhere, and we're laying the foundations for that future now. Just before MWC we announced the world’s first 5G broadband satellite outdoor field test, by connecting MediaTek's NR-NTN chipset to a commercial LEO satellite. This proved it was possible to achieve uninterrupted broadband speeds even if you’re off-grid.

    Hybrid Computing
Hybrid Computing is designed to create an edge network that harnesses the power of all your devices, then combines that with the power of the cloud, for a more capable, responsive and intelligent experience.

We've made data-sharing is super fast and power-efficient thanks to dynamic resource scheduling, while data remains secure because it stays within your personal AI ecosystem, allowing AI agents to learn to anticipate your needs across devices and spaces - smartphone, car, and home.

    Sub-Band Full Duplex (SBFD)
There's limited opportunity to release more wireless spectrum for 6G use, but we need to keep pushing the bar of data speeds and reliable low-latency to accommodate the expectations of future demand. Working towards this goal we've developed an innovative solution: Sub-Band Full Duplex; an ultra-efficient spectrum technology that overcomes the complexity of simultaneous uplink and downlink within the same band. This means you’ll be able to upload up to 43% faster, giving applications the data bandwidth and low-latency they need, while gaming, streaming and video calls will be smoother and more seamless.

Envelope-Assisted Radio Frequency Front End System
Despite continual complexity and performance increases in mobile devices, power efficiency of the cellular system is still a top priority. Our innovative new Envelope-Assisted System enhances power efficiency and reduces heat generation by up to 25% in the RFFE compared to traditional average power tracking when using a wide channel bandwidth. This means that batteries and devices last longer, perform better, and are much more sustainable.
