Case Study: MediaTek powered Chromebooks increase productivity, engagement and collaboration

Hollingworth School, named after psychologist and educator Leta Hollingworth (1886-1939), who studied gifted and talented children, believed that gifted students need a curriculum that is tailored to their needs and that they should be challenged academically. The school today serves all students and provides them with a challenging and supportive environment, as it believes all students are gifted, and when shown those gifts, this helps to prepare them for success in high school and beyond.MediaTek Helps Hollingworth School Meet Its Education Commitments

MediaTek's vision for education is to provide students and teachers with stress-free and engaging classroom experiences. It has delivered on this promise by designing octa-core processors that deliver enhanced productivity in multitasking use cases, while they are also ultra-power efficient and provide true all-day battery life.

MediaTek was honored to partner with Rachel Gerwin, College and Career Readiness Coordinator, to collaborate on the Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 pilot, which is helping Hollingworth School meet its education commitments.

Teachers and students loved the long battery life. Students did not have to charge these devices all week (4 days), and still had 20% remaining battery life. Other Chromebooks we have run out of battery way before the MediaTek Kompanio-powered Chromebooks and often the processing speed is slower and can only handle some of the multitasking while students are working.
