With the push towards greater device intelligence and real-time insights, we’re seeing more demand for edge AI devices across different industries. As part of our commitment to bringing AI everywhere, we unveiled the MediaTek Genio 360 platform to bring the latest AI capabilities to IoT devices in education, the enterprise, healthcare, industrial environments, retail, and transportation.
MediaTek Genio 360 is an advanced 6nm platform that brings premium-tier features to value-tier devices, including enabling generative AI processing at the edge for models with up to two billion parameters. The platform integrates MediaTek’s 8th generation NPU, allowing the overall system to deliver up to 6 TOPS of AI acceleration on device.
To support premium-tier features in connected devices, we configured MediaTek Genio 360 with a hexa-core CPU comprising 1x Arm Cortex-A76 at up to 2.0GHz and 5x Arm Cortex-A55 cores, each operating at up to 2.0GHz. This configuration pairs excellent single-core computing performance with power-efficient multi-core operation, all in a compact footprint for low-power and space-constrained devices.
Our newest IoT platform also delivers rich multimedia capabilities, supporting a single 4K60 display or dual FHD60 displays, and one 16MP @ 30fps camera or up to six FHD30 cameras via MIPI virtual channels, plus 4K30 video decode. These multimedia features allow device makers to integrate a wide variety of AI capabilities.
Other notable features of MediaTek Genio 360 include:
• Industrial and enterprise ready, supporting necessary operating temperatures and guaranteed 10-year longevity of product supply commitment.
• A wide variety of system expansion options, including PCIe Gen 2 and multiple USB interfaces, for rich I/O capabilities.
