2x2 802.11n platform for N300/AC750/AC1200 router and repeater
MediaTek MT7628 family are the new generation of 2T2R 802.11n Wi-Fi AP/Router (SoC). MT7628 improve the RF performance, reduce power consumption and optimize the BOM cost and make it as the best cost/performance 2x2 11n solution. The MT7628 family integrates a 2T2R 802.11n Wi-Fi radio, a 580MHz MIPS® 24KEc™ CPU, 5-port fast Ethernet PHY, AES128/256 security engine, USB2.0 host, PCIe host, and rich slow IOs to connect different sensors. MT7628A can connect to external DRAM for 11ac dual-band concurrent routers.
Router mode provides 5p FE switch and mainly for router application, and IoT mode support 1p FE and many rich slow I/Os. 802.11ac chipset can be added to build a 802.11ac dual-band concurrent IoT gateway. MT7628K embedded with 8MB memory and provide eCos turnkey for compact router, repeater, IoT bridge, storage and audio applications. MT7628N provides the same functions of MT7628A except the PCIe and IoT mode and mainly for N300 router.
