MediaTek Helio P10 is the first P Series smartphone chip. As the world’s first product to use TSMC’s 28nm HPC+ process, the Helio P10 reduces processor power consumption by up to 30% compared to existing smartphone SoCs manufactured using alternative 28nm processes.
Upgrading 4G Power Efficiency
The MT6300 is an Envelope Tracking Module (ETM) designed to complement MediaTek’s CAT-6 modem. It monitors the voltage supplied to the RF power amplifier in real-time and makes continuous, fine-grained adjustments to optimize the amplifier’s efficiency.
By ensuring the power amplifier operates at peak efficiency, the module reduces heat generation in the phone, particularly during LTE-A and Carrier Aggregation use. MediaTek’s ETM can save up to 20% of current at maximum output power.
