The MT8168 delivers a highly integrated, high-performance application processor with very low power consumption, and great multimedia experience for embedded devices like tablets, eReaders and smart home or IoT applications. Built using an advanced, power-efficient 12nm process, the SoC combines a quad-core Arm-Cortex A53 MPCore^TM CPU with Arm NEON engine operating up to 2GHz with an Arm Mali G52-class graphics processor operating up to 800MHz.

Highly flexible memory and storage options means brands can choose performance levels to meet usage requirements or plan several products at different price-points around a single platform, saving development time and cost.

An integrated, programmable audio DSP operating up to 600MHz with local SRAM storage provides the capacity for ultra-low power voice assistants and keyword detection.

MT8168 supports up two displays up to WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) and includes MediaTek MiraVision^TM picture quality enhancement. A multi-standard video accelerator and an advanced audio subsystem are also integrated to provide power-efficient playback of advanced multimedia applications and audio/video content from local storage or streaming services, with decode acceleration for up to 1080p60 content with advanced HEVC or VP9 encoding.

Camera sensors up to 13MP are supported with dual cameras support (two MIPI-CSI interfaces), plus video encoding acceleration up to 1080p60 using advanced HEVC encoding.

An embedded connectivity system includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM and Ethernet MAC. With several advanced connectivity technologies integrated into one single chip, MT8168 provides the most convenient connectivity solution in the industry.
