    Dream Faster. This Is Why.

InsideTek_Rahul Sandil_500x500MediaTek powers the devices, infrastructure, and experiences that define life. Dream Faster is how we tell that story.

By Rahul Sandil, Vice President and General Manager, Global Corporate MARCOM, MediaTek

Ask ten people what MediaTek does and you'll get ten different, half-right answers (I've run this experiment at more dinner parties than I'd like to admit). The phone in your pocket. The laptop you're reading this on. Maybe, if they've been paying attention, the smart TV in the living room or the router quietly keeping the whole house online. All true. None of it is the whole picture.

Here's the fuller version. We're in your smartphone, your laptop, your smart TV, your connected car, your router, and increasingly your watch. We're building the custom AI accelerators data centers will run on for the next decade. We're at the edge, in the cloud, and everywhere the two meet. MediaTek has never had a visibility problem with its products. What we've lacked is a story that connects them.

For most of our history, that was fine by us. We let the work speak, and with more than 20,000 people building it, engineers and researchers, yes, but also the product teams shaping what ships, the sales teams getting it into customers' hands, and the HR and operations people holding the whole machine together, it usually did the talking for us. Dream Faster builds on that instinct. It just gives it a voice. Our customers, our partners, and frankly the rest of the world deserve to know not just what we build, but who builds it and why we bother.

I've always believed a company should strive for relevance, not loudness. Dream Faster is that belief turned into a sentence everyone can actually understand.

A brand built for where we actually sit

MediaTek occupies a unique piece of real estate in this industry. Most competitors pick a lane and stay in it: mobile, or PCs, or connectivity, or the data center. We're in mobile and smartphones. We're in TVs and home entertainment. We're in IoT, automotive, networking and connectivity, computing. And now we're building custom AI data center ASIC solutions for the hyperscalers running the next generation of AI. Say that list out loud to someone outside the industry and watch their eyebrows go up. It's an unusual place to sit, and until now, we never had one platform built to speak to all of it at once.

That changes here. Dream Faster is the idea sitting above every part of that list, the thing connecting a smartphone chip to a custom data center accelerator, even though on paper those two products couldn't look more different. Faster at the edge. Faster in the cloud. Faster everywhere in between. Same conviction, wherever you find our silicon.

Technology this foundational shouldn't be invisible. It should be something the more than 20,000 of us building it, in a lab, on a sales call, in an HR review, on a factory floor, are proud to put our name on.

    What "faster" actually means

When we say Dream Faster, we mean something bigger than clock speed: the stubbornness it takes to build something people told you couldn't be built yet.

We mean the engineer who spends eighteen months shaving inefficiency out of a chip until AI inference runs ten times faster, then shrugs about it like it was a Tuesday. We mean the researcher trying to get real AI inference running on a device that fits in your hand instead of a rack three states away. We mean the product manager who fights for a laptop tier priced low enough to open the category to people who've never owned one. We mean the salesperson translating all of that into a problem an actual customer needed solved, and the person in operations who made sure the chip shipped on time to make it real.

And we mean the people on the other side of that work. The hyperscalers scaling AI infrastructure at a pace nobody would have believed five years ago. The automotive brand putting real intelligence inside the car instead of a glorified dashboard. The consumer electronics company trying to build something that actually improves someone's day, not just their spec sheet.

MediaTek is inside every one of those stories, even on the days our name never shows up on the box. That's the part we want people to finally understand.

You'll start seeing Dream Faster everywhere over the next few months: our site, our events, our social channels, every piece of communication carrying our name. That's on purpose. This is simply how we plan to talk about ourselves from here forward. No expiration date.

    Why now

We didn't pick this moment at random. Look at what we just told the market on our latest earnings call. We raised our 2027 total addressable market estimate for custom AI data center ASICs, and we raised our target share of that market right along with it. Our first AI accelerator ASIC enters mass production this quarter. Our board approved billions in financing to build out the supply chain and expand from ASIC chips into full systems and platforms. This bet is already showing up in the numbers.

Picture AI as something that only lives on a phone, and you miss most of the opportunity. Picture it as something that only lives three states away in a data center, and you miss the rest. The real opportunity runs the entire spectrum: inference happening quietly on the device in your hand, and inference and training happening at massive scale in the cloud for the hyperscalers building what comes next. That's simply where our silicon runs today, edge to cloud, and increasingly, it's where our growth is coming from too.

In that world, good technology is table stakes. Every serious competitor in this business has good technology. What separates the companies people remember from the ones they forget is whether they can say what they stand for and where they're headed, plainly enough that people actually believe them.

MediaTek has the technology. We have the reach. We have a portfolio most of our competitors would need decades to emulate. And now we have a sharper voice that enables us to tell our leadership story.

Remember those ten people at the dinner party. Ask them again in six months. I have a feeling the conversation goes somewhere different this time.

    Dream faster. We are.
