MediaTek Intelligent Refresh Rate Displays
MediaTek Intelligent Refresh Rate Displays adjust the display refresh rate according to the game or UI action detected: the refresh rate is raised to improve interactive user experience, then subsequently lowered to improve power efficiency when not necessary. This dynamic technology provides all the user experience benefits of an ultra-fast display refresh rate while also maximizing power efficiency.
Device makers can offer crisp, high resolution FullHD+ displays with ultra 120Hz displays that provide a supremely smooth user experience, whether it’s zero-blur gaming, the notably smoother scrolling of webpages or animations in apps.
4K HDR Video Capture Engine with Flagship-grade Noise Reduction
The Dimensity 920 incorporates a unique hardware-accelerated 4K HDR video recording engine. Combined with flagship-grade noise reduction techniques (3DNR + MFNR), the chip generates exceptional 4K HDR video capture results in any lighting conditions.
Supporting the latest 108MP main cameras among multi-camera arrays, users can photograph 35% more detail versus previous generation Dimensity chips.
Meeting the ‘streamer generation’ demands for 4K HDR video and single camera AI-bokeh, the Dimensity 920 provides real, AI processing unit –with ultra-efficient INT8, INT16 and accurate FP16 capabilities, for exceptional AI-camera experiences.
Boosted Gaming Performance
The Dimensity 920 boosts its Arm Cortex-A78 CPU frequencies up to 2.5GHz, offering exceptional performance for snappier App response, faster FPS in games and better, connected experiences.
The Arm Mali-G68 GPU features all the technologies of the bigger G78, but with a design optimized for power-efficiency, extending battery life even further for mobile gamers. The Dimensity 920 offers up to 9% faster gaming performance over the Dimensity 900.
Flexible Memory and Storage Design
Device makers can mix and match either flagship LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1, or premium LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage options, enabling them to differentiate smartphone designs based on market performance expectations and price points.
The Dimensity 900-series are the only chips in their class to offer flexible component use without requiring a platform redesign, removing design challenges, and expressing time to market.

Using the latest TSMC 6nm production process this octa-core processor is exceptionally light on power, extending battery life even for demanding users.

Faster 5G Carrier Aggregation
5G-CA enables higher average speeds and a seamless handover between two 5G connection areas across a coverage layer, where users receive over 30% greater throughput layer coverage than without CA. With 2CC CA covering up to 120MHz of spectrum, including mixed duplex FDD+TDD.
Dual 5G SIM
Continuing MediaTek’s dual SIM leadership since 2008, the Dimensity 920 provides dual 5G SIM to high-end 5G smartphone users. With 5G-SA (standalone) that’s always ready, users also have access to premium VoNR call services from both connections whenever they need it.
Faster Wi-Fi 6
Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO gives users faster, more reliable internet connections. Integrated into the chip along with Bluetooth 5 and GNSS (L1+L5), the wireless connectivity is far more power-efficient and uses a smaller platform size than competitor external chip solutions.
MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 – Networking Engine
5G Call & Data Concurrency 3.0 – Game on SIM 1, Call on SIM 2.
The third generation of call and data concurrency now allows the user to keep a 5G data connection open and uninterrupted for their game, while simultaneously accepting a call (*) on the second SIM.
5G HSR mode for gaming
With HSR (“high speed rail”) mode the smartphone will search and connect to the lowest latency available cell tower to minimize online ping. This is particularly advantageous when traveling fast, as the relative distance – and thus latency – to each tower changes rapidly.
Super Hotspot Power Saving
MediaTek Dimensity chips with HyperEngine 3.0 can offer 5G tethering to other devices without impacting their own gaming performance. With the 5G modem and Wi-Fi integrated into the single chip it allows them to work closer together for better power efficiency resulting in up to 33% power savings compared to alternative platforms.
